Gems of Hubble (version 2.0)

Hubble is fixed! Hubble Space Telescope, with its new and expanded 
capabilities, is capturing a wealth of spectacular  and unprecedented 
color images of distant objects in space that are illuminating age-old 
questions and engendering a new wave of excitement among NASA 
researchers. Containing new and updated material, this expanded version 
of the original Gems of Hubble  lets you share in the excitement of 
these astronomers as you browse through its wonderful collection of 
pictures taken from Hubble's treasure room. Set off with an overview of 
Hubble's First Servicing Mission in December 1993, the "gems" include 
observations of solar system objects, stars and star clusters, nebulae, 
and galaxies. With its simple but powerful navigation features, Gems of 
Hubble lets you experience astronomical discovery firsthand while you 
learn about the vast universe we inhabit.

Electronic PictureBooks are HyperCard¨ stacks designed to run on a color 
Macintosh¨ computer with at least 2.5 megabytes of available RAM, 
sufficient hard disk space to contain the Electronic Picturebook, System 7.0, 
and HyperCard 2.1 or HyperCard Player 2.1. 

This Electronic PictureBook is one of a series being produced by the 
Exploration in Education (ExInEd) program at the Special Studies Office of the 
Space Telescope Science Institute (ST ScI). The purpose of the ExInEd program 
is to discover new tools and approaches to relate space science and exploration 
to basic teaching and learning, and it involves searching for new ways to 
assemble and distribute the results of research, particularly images.
