CHAPTER 11: DMF Database Structure This chapter describes the contents of some of the tables in the Data Management Facility (DMF). The screens presented in the STARCAT system are views on these various database tables. This chapter includes descriptions of the contents and population source of the exp, obs, prop, and pepsi science tables and the dsname and files archive accounting tables.. EXP The EXP table is filled by ingesting keywords from the science data file headers. There is one record per exposure. The table contains both proposal level (planned) and exposure level (executed) information about observational parameters of exposures. There is one record per exposure. The table contains predominantly proposal level (planned) information about observational parameters of exposures.
