Acronyms

A list of acronyms and abbreviations commonly used throughout the Institute is accessible through Mosaic or Lynx (Figure 9.7). To look up an acronym, start Mosaic or Lynx and use the following Uniform Resource Locator (URL):

http://ra.stsci.edu/AcronymList.html

Always type URLs exactly as they are shown. URLs are usually case sensitive.

To search for an acronym, position the cursor anywhere in the text window and press . You will be prompted to enter the text string you want to find.
