Image Orientation Formats

This table lists all the formats currently understood by the Image Orientation Calculator. The items listed for each format are defined as follows:

Name

This is the Positional Database (PDB) name for the format.

Angle

Angle the format makes with the U3 axis of the telescope.

Format size

Size of the format in pixels.

Reference Position

Pixel position of the reference point for the format. Target will be placed here upon acquisition.

Plate Scale

Average plate scale in terms of arcseconds/pixel of the format. Used for converting POS TARG amounts to pixel offset.
