1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

    All of the scientific observational proposals which were scheduled
    during this period were not initiated due to the current Safe Mode
    event. An intercept back into the SMS will be initiated as soon as is
    possible. 

    The updated ephemeris tables were uplinked at 088/2046z.

2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY:

    There was no FGS or FHST activity due to the Safe Mode event.

   2.4 Operations Note:

       SADE 1 was powered off yesterday (Monday, March 29) at 1820Z and
       then back on at 2149Z. All SADE data was valid immediately upon
       power-up, without the three minute lag that was seen on the initial
       attempt. The solar array position data were incorrect, with
       different values than seen previously. 

       Recovery from safemode began at 1830Z and proceeded without
       incident. Two patches were sent to the DF-224 computer during the
       recovery. One modified the safemode recovery macro to prevent the
       flight software from using SADE 1. The other disabled safemode Macro
       #6 to prevent the software from commanding a solar array slew in the
       event of a future safemode event. A health and safety command load
       has been generated and is scheduled to begin at 090/0000Z with the
       science load beginning 24 hours later. 

       Safemode recovery started today at 088/1830Z and is now complete.

       Based on the current best estimates the short term plans for 
       continuing the science operations are that: 
 
       * Start the Health and safety load at 090/0000Z.

       * Begin SMS 091 execution at 091/0000Z.

       * The solar angle will be limited between 65 and 115 degrees (i.e.,
         90 + or - 25 degrees). 

3.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR NEXT REPORTING PERIOD:

    All of the the scientific observational proposals which normally would
    be scheduled during this period will not be initiated due to the current
    Safe Mode event. An intercept back into the SMS will be initiated as
    soon as is possible.
