1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

   1.1 Completed HSP/UV1 4810 (Constraints on Continuum Models of Active 
       Nuclei: Fast Ultraviolet)

       The High Speed Photometer was used to make five observations of the
       of the Seyfert galaxy NGC-6814 and its active nuclei looking for rapid
       variations in its ultraviolet flux levels. The first two
       observations were received and displayed , and had low counts. The
       third observations was reported to be okay. The last two
       observations were reported to have had a recentering events which
       occurred during the observations. 

   1.2 Completed WFC 4713 (WF/PC Cycle 2 Calibration: WFC Internal; Delta 
       Flats)

       The Wide Field Camera was to make two internal flat observations.
       These images will be used for the restoration of Earth flat images,
       which were altered due to changes in quantum efficiency which
       occurred after WFPC decontamination operations. The first internal
       flat image was reported to be saturated, and the second was normal. 

   1.3 Completed HSP/POL 4888 (Remnant Stars in Supernova Remnants - AUG - 
       Cycle 3 High)

       The High Speed Photometer was used to make observations of the star
       SS433 (Visual Magnitude = 14.0) which is located in a supernova
       remnant. The target star has emission lines that vary in velocity by
       relativistic amounts in a 162 day cycle. The observations were
       received and displayed in real time. The GO was present for the
       observations. No anomalies were reported. Much of the data still
       remains on the science tape recorder, and will be analyzed later. 

   1.4 Completed GHRS/2 3614 (Boron as a Probe of Stellar Structures and 
       Mass Loss)

       The High Resolution Spectrograph was used to try and make
       observations of G class star HD2151 to measure its abundance in
       Boron. The baseline guide star acquisition failed in FGS #3 with a
       search radius exceeded. The scientific observations were lost. (See
       Note 2.1) . 

   1.5 Completed GHRS/2 1206 (Sulfur Near IO Cycle 2)

       The High Resolution Spectrograph was used to make observations of
       the spectrum of Jupiter's moon Io both inside and outside of the
       plasma torus. This is to determine the mechanism which feeds sulfur
       and oxygen into the torus. The observations were monitored by the
       OSS, and the data quality was assessed. No problems were reported.
  
   1.6 Completed FOS/BL 4054 (Probing the Nuclear Regions of Seyfert Galaxy 
       NGC-5548)

       The Faint Object Spectrograph was used to make ultraviolet
       observations of the nuclear regions of Seyfert galaxy NGC-5548 to
       look for time dependent fluctuations in its continuum, and emissions
       in Carbon IV and Helium II. The observations were executed as
       scheduled, and no problems were reported.

       A partial eclipse of the Sun occurred today, Friday May 21, 1993
       (141/1313-1327Z). The maximum coverage of the Sun was 10.7%. Normal
       operational procedures were used during the eclipse. The status of
       the Battery Rate of Charge, as well as the Course Sun Sensors were
       monitored during the eclipse. No problems were encountered.
