Daily Status Report as of 019/1200Z.

1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

   1.1 Completed S/C 5254 (GHRS SMOV Side 1 Activation)

       The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side One) low voltage came on as
       scheduled. The Side One DEB was successfully turned on, at three
       hours intervals. The real-time telemetry downlink was monitored in
       the OSS. No problems were seen.

   1.2 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 4709 (WF/PC-2 Internal Monitor)

       The Faint Object Spectrograph (Blue and Red Sides) was used to make
       one spectral observation of cluster NGC-199 to help determine the
       location of the 4.3 arcsecond aperture. The observation was received
       and displayed. The image was reported to be normal.

   1.3 Completed FOC/96 4788 (SMOV COSTAR/FOC Point Spread Function)

       Both the Faint Object Camera and the COSTAR were used to measure the
       system's point spread function with high photometric accuracy using
       ultraviolet standard stars in the cluster NGC-188. One image was
       received and displayed in real-time for the Principal Investigator.
       A corrective maneuver was successfully calculated and uplinked to
       the spacecraft. Subsequent observations were executed as scheduled.
       No anomalies were noted.
