HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE DAILY REPORT #1072 PERIOD COVERED: 0700 EST Daily Status Report as of 041/1200Z. 1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED: 1.1 Completed FOC/96 5140 (Observations of the Narrow Line Regions in Nearby Seyfert Galaxies) The Faint Object Camera (f/96) was used to make observations at several different wavelengths of Seyfert galaxy MRK-573 which is located near the Cygnus A source. This is to study relations between the radio and optical emissions. The OSS monitored the observations, and assessed the data quality. A total of five images were received and displayed. No anomalies were noted. No science observations occurred from the period of 040/1430Z to 041/1640Z. No observational proposals were scheduled. No anomalies were noted during this time. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: Scheduled Acquisitions : 2 Successful : 2 Scheduled Reacquisitions : 4 Successful : 4 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled :3 Successful :3 2.3 Significant HSTARs: None 2.4 Operations Notes: There was no anomalous behavior in any HST subsystem or in any of the SMOV activities. 3.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR NEXT REPORTING PERIOD: 3.1 Complete FOS/RD 5320 (A New Size Constant on Lyman Alpha Clouds: Cycle 4 Medium) 3.2 Complete Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5240 (SMOV-WF/PC-2 Flat field Calibration) 3.3 Complete WF/PC-2 5369 (HST Medium-Deep Survey: Cycle 4 Medium, High Galactic Latitude) 3.4 Complete WF/PC-2 5475 (A Snapshot Survey For Blue Stragglers in Magellanic Clusters) 3.5 Complete WF/PC-2 5156 (Optical Emission in Double Radio Galaxy Lobes: Cycle 4) 3.6 Complete FOS/BL 5444 (A UV Spectral Library of Metal Poor Massive Stars) 3.7 Complete FOS/RD 5267 (Velocity Dispersions in the Nucleus of M-87 (FOC ERO):Cycle 4 FOS) 4.0 ANOMALY STATUS: 4.1 Significant New Anomalies: None 4.2 Significant Unresolved Anomalies: None 5.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Nothing at this time. /DMH -END-
