1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

   1.1 Completed WF/PC-2 5476 (Continuum Snapshot of 3CR Radio Galaxies)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make snapshot images of radio galaxy 3C173.1
       as part of a continuum survey and to study the galaxy's morphology.
       Two images were received and displayed. No anomalies were noted.

   1.2 Completed WF/PC-2 1070 (High Resolution Imaging of Radio Galaxies at
       Large Redshifts)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make deep images of radio galaxy 3C324. The
       observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were
       noted. The science data still remains on the science tape recorder,
       and will be analyzed later.

   1.3 Completed Two Sets of FOS/RD 5535 (Cycle 4 Internal Wavelength
       Calibration)

       The Faint Object Spectrograph was used to make internal calibration
       observations to monitor the stability of the wavelength scale for
       different gratings. The OSS monitored the observations. The
       observations data remains on the science tape recorder, and will be
       analyzed later. No anomalies were noted.

   1.4 Completed WF/PC-2 5570 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Earthflats, 
Large
       Set)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make a set of Earth flat calibration images
       using different filters in order to construct high quality flat
       fields of the OTA illumination pattern. The observations were
       executed as scheduled. The analysis is pending the tape recorder #3
       playback. No anomalies were noted.

   1.5 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5561 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration:
       Internal Monitor. 2: Flats)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make two ultraviolet flat calibration images
       to monitor flat field stability and the stability of the
       analog-to-digital converters. Both observations were monitored by
       the OSS. One of the exposures was reported to be underexposed.

   1.6 Completed Two Sets of GHRS/2 5548 (GHRS ECH-B Blaze Function: Cycle 
4)

       The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side Two) was used to observe the
       ultraviolet standard Mu Columbae. The observations were executed as
       scheduled. The first six observations completed without errors. The
       next seven science observations completed with a few recentering
       events. Some data still remains on the science tape recorder. A
       guide star acquisition failed at 117/2308Z (See Item 2.1). An
       ARU/PRT was uplinked to the spacecraft. The analysis to determine
       the effect on the science observations is pending.

   1.7 Completed FGS 5135 (Extragalactic Astrometry and Astrophysics, 
FT0-11,
       Part 1 of Two)

       The FGSs were used to make astrometric observations to obtain data
       needed to measure the HIPPARCOS reference frame with respect to the
       extragalactic reference frame. The observations were executed as
       scheduled, and the data remains on the engineering tape recorder. No
       anomalies were noted.

   1.8 Completed WF/PC-2 5092 (GTO Low Latitude Parallel Program: Cycle 4)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations taken in parallel with the
       prime science observations. The images were received as scheduled,
       and no anomalies were noted.

2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY:
