HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE DAILY REPORT #1130 PERIOD COVERED: 0700 EST Daily Status Report as of 123/1200Z. 1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED: 1.1 Completed Two Sets of FOS/RD/BL 5537 (Cycle 4 Superflat Spectral Flat Fields) The Faint Object Spectrograph was used to make observations of ultraviolet standard star BD+28D4211 which has a relatively featureless spectra. The first set of data was received and displayed, and beyond a few recenterings, no anomalies were noted. The second set has been received, and a few observations have been examined for data quality. The remaineder of the data will be examined later. No anomalies were noted. 1.2 Completed WF/PC-2 5560 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor. 1) The WF/PC-2 was used to make several internal bias, K-Spot, and flat calibration observations to monitor the CCD camera electronics, the optical alignment, and for contamination. A total of ten images were taken, and received via a science tape recorder playback. Observations were missing about 1/3 of the data from groups 3 and 4. This was due to the data being written around a tape recorder track change, which had been predicted. There was insufficient time on the shift to display the data, and assess the data quality. No anomalies were noted. 1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5562 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor 3: Darks) The WF/PC-2 was used to obtain several 30-minute-long, dark exposures to provide ongoing calibration of the CCD dark current and to monitor and characterize the evolution of hot pixels. The observations were executed as scheduled, and the data still remains on Science Tape Recorder #1. No anomalies were noted. 1.4 Completed WF/PC-2 5369 (HST Medium-Deep Survey: Cycle 45 Medium, High Galactic Latitude) The WF/PC-2 made a series of observations of high latitude objects as part of a medium deep sky survey. The observations were taken in parallel with other prime science observations. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: Scheduled Acquisitions : 2 Successful : 2 Scheduled Reacquisitions : 14 Successful : 14 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled :0 Successful :0 2.3 Significant HSTARs: None 2.4 Operations Notes: During the last twenty-five hours, no onboard HST subsystem reported any operational difficulties. 3.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR NEXT REPORTING PERIOD: 3.1 Complete WF/PC-2 5369 (HST Medium_Deep Survey: Cycle 4 Medium: High Galactic Latitude) 3.2 Complete Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5397 (Determination of the Extragalactic Distance Scale: Cycle 4 High) 3.3 Complete GHRS/2 5591 (GHRS Side 2 "Locate= Extended" Test: Cycle 4) 3.4 Complete WF/PC-2 5476 (Continuum Snapshots of 3CR Radio Galaxies) 3.5 Complete FOS/BL 5579 (Cycle 4 Test: To Determine FOS Polarimetry Mode) 3.6 Complete WF/PC-2 5454 (Ellipticals with Kineamatically Distinct Cores: cycle 4 Medium) 3.7 Complete WF/PC-2 5238 (Asteroids (WC16): Cycle 4) 3.8 Complete Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5446 (The Nuclei of Nearby S0 and Spiral Galaxies: A PC Snapshot Imaging) 3.9 Complete Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5570 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Earthflats, Large Set) 3.10 Complete WF/PC-2 5415 (The Distance to the M-96 Galaxy Group: Cycle 4 Medium) 3.11 Complete WF/PC-2 1070 (High Resolution Imaging of Radio Galaxies at Large Redshifts) 4.0 ANOMALY STATUS: 4.1 Significant New Anomalies: None 4.2 Significant Unresolved Anomalies: None 5.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Nothing at this time. /DMH -END-
