HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE DAILY REPORT #1137 PERIOD COVERED: 0700 EST Daily Status Report as of 132/1200Z. 1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED: 1.1 Completed Two Sets of GHRS/1 5417 (A Search for the Physical Processes on Jupiter) The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side One) was used as part of a program to observe atomic hydrogen emission at different latitude and longitudes on the planet Jupiter. The observations were executed as scheduled. One observation was received and displayed. The count in each group was reported to be low. Some data still remains on Science Tape Recorder #1. 1.2 Completed WF/PC-2 5446 (The Nuclei of Nearby S0 and Spiral Galaxies) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of galaxy NGC-4718. The observations were executed as scheduled. Two observations were received and displayed. They were reported to look okay. Other observations still remain on the Science Tape Recorder, and will be analyzed later. 1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5465 (WF/PC-2 Imaging of Two Galaxy Clusters at Z= 1.2) The WF/PC-2 was used to make deep images of galaxy cluster 3C324 at Z=1.2. The observations were executed as scheduled, and displayed in the OSS. One observations was reported to be "not well received" in the OSS. However, it was was clearly received by PODPS, and looked okay. 1.4 Completed WF/PC-2 5629 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Photometric Monitor 1C: 4-CHIP STD in F170W) The WF/PC-2 was used to make photometric calibration observations of the ultraviolet standard star GRW+70D582. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.5 Completed WF/PC-2 5652 (SINS: The Supernova Intensive Study Target of Opportunity: Cycle 4) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of Supernova SN1994I. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.6 Completed WF/PC-2 5375 (High-Resolution Images of Virgo Galaxies with Kinematically Distinct Cores) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of galaxy NGC-4536 which is located in the Virgo Cluster. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: Scheduled Acquisitions : 6 Successful : 6 Scheduled Reacquisitions : 9 Successful : 9 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled :12 Successful :12 2.3 Significant HSTARs: None 2.4 Operations Notes: All observatory subsystems are performing nominally. 3.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR NEXT REPORTING PERIOD: 3.1 Complete WF/PC-2 5397 (Determination fo the Extragalactic Distance Scale: Cycle 4 High) 3.2 Complete WF/PC-2 5562 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor 3: Darks) 3.3 Complete WF/PC-2 5233 (Stellar Populations and Clusters in Elliptical Galaxies (WC08)) 4.0 ANOMALY STATUS: 4.1 Significant New Anomalies: None 4.2 Significant Unresolved Anomalies: None 5.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Nothing at this time. /DMH -END-
