Three images were received and displayed. They were reported to look fine. Two more images remain on the Science Tape Recorder #1, and will be analyzed later. 1.2 Completed WF/PC-2 5562 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor 3: Darks) The WF/PC-2 was used to obtain a 30-minute long, dark exposure to provide ongoing calibration of the CCD dark current and to monitor and characterize the evolution of hot pixels. The image was received and displayed in the OSS. It was reported to look okay. 1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5233 (Stellar Populations and Clusters in Elliptical Galaxies (WC08)) The WF/PC-2 was used to make deep observations of elliptical galaxy NGC-3379 which is located in the Coma Cluster of galaxies to study its stellar population. The observations were complete as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: Scheduled Acquisitions : 6 Successful : 6 Scheduled Reacquisitions : 9 Successful : 9 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled :12 Successful :12 2.3 Significant HSTARs: None 2.4 Operations Notes: There were no reported problems in any HST subsystem during the past twenty-four hours. 3.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR NEXT REPORTING PERIOD: 3.1 Complete WF/PC-2 5233 (Stellar Populations and Clusters in Elliptical Galaxies (WC08)) 3.2 Complete WF/PC-2 5560 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 2 Calibration: Internal Monitor. 1) 3.3 Complete FOS/RD 5652 (SINS: The Supernova Intensive Study Target of Opportunity: Cycle 4 ) 3.4 Complete WF/PC-2 5570 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Earthflats, Large Set) 3.5 Complete Three Sets of WF/PC-2 5476 (Continuum Snapshots of 3CR Radio Galaxies) 3.6 Complete Eight Sets of WF/PC-2 5446 (The Nuclei of Nearby S0 and Spiral Galaxies) 3.7 Complete WF/PC-2 5454 (Ellipticals With Kinematically Distinct Cores: Cycle 4 Medium) 3.8 Complete Two Sets of GHRS/1 5417 (A Search for the Physical Processes on Jupiter) 3.9 Complete FGS 5337 (Linking the HIPPARCOS to the Extragalactic Reference Frame: NEWHIP-C) 3.10 Complete FOC/96 5636 (FOC Onboard Bright Object Protection Test) 3.11 Complete Three Sets of WF/PC-2 5370 (HST Medium-Deep Survey: Cycle 4 Medium, High Galactic Latitude: CR-SPLIT) 3.12 Complete FGS 5174 (Astrometric Companion Search: Cycle 4) 3.13 Complete WF/PC-2 5091 (GTO High Latitude Parallel Program: Cycle 4) 3.14 Complete FGS 5333 (Linking the HIPPARCOS to the Extragalactic Reference Frame: BR12-23: Part 2) 3.15 Complete WF/PC-2 5386 (Stellar Populations of Leo II Dwarf Spherical Galaxy) 3.16 Complete WF/PC-2 5375 (High Resolution Images of Virgo Galaxies with Kinematically Distinct Cores) 3.17 Complete WF/PC-2 5415 (The distance to the M-96 Galaxy Group: Cycle 4 Medium) 3.18 Complete WF/PC-2 5149 (High Resolution Imaging of Circumstellar Shells Around Evolved Stars) 3.19 Complete WF/PC-2 5475 (A Snapshot survey for Blue Stragglers in Magellanic Cluster Cores) 3.20 Complete FGS 4884 (High Speed Astrometry: A Search for Planetary Companions to Low Mass Stars) 3.21 Complete WF/PC-2 5092 (GTO Low Latitude Parallel Program: Cycle 4) 3.22 Complete FOS 5336 (Linking the HIPPARCOS to the Extragalactic Reference Frame.) 4.0 ANOMALY STATUS: 4.1 Significant New Anomalies: None 4.2 Significant Unresolved Anomalies: None 5.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Nothing at this time. /DMH -END-
