(site:nasa,"RFC-822":) Subj: HST REPORT #1206 HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE DAILY REPORT #1206 PERIOD COVERED: 0000Z Daily Status Report as of 231/1200Z. 1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED: 1.1 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5092 (GTO Low Latitude Parallel Program: Cycle 4) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations taken in parallel with the prime science observations. This is part of a survey to take pictures of a large number of fields within 30 degrees of the galactic plane. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.2 Completed FGS 5587 (Parallaxes of Hyades Cluster Members: Cycle 4 High) The Fine Guidance Sensors were used to make observations of stars in the Hyades Cluster (i.e., VA627, PCEN622, AST113-REF, AST112-REF, AST116-REF, AST109-REF, VA622, AST117-REF, and AST115-REF) to determine the parallax of the stars and to compute the distance modulus of the cluster. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5476 (Continuum Snapshots of 3CR Radio Galaxies) The WF/PC-2 was used to make snapshot images of radio galaxy 3C371.0 as part of a continuum survey and to study the galaxy's morphology. The observations were executed as scheduled, and n anomalies were noted. 1.4 Completed WF/PC-2 5318 (Search for Main Sequence Binaries in the Globular Cluster NGC-6752) The WF/PC-2 was used to look for short period binaries located in globular cluster NGC-6752. The observations were completed as planned. A large portion of several observations was lost due to tape recorder track change-overs. No other problems were reported. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: Scheduled Acquisitions : 1 Successful : 1 Scheduled Reacquisitions : 7 Successful : 7 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled :0 Successful :0 2.3 Significant HSTARs: None 2.4 Operations Notes: During the current reporting day, there were no operational problems reported in any HST subsystem. 3.0 ANOMALY STATUS: 3.1 Significant New Anomalies: None 3.2 Significant Unresolved Anomalies: None 4.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: There will be a HST Battery #1 capacity check test starting on Tuesday, Aug. 23 lasting through Wednesday, Aug.24. The battery should be recharged, and back to standard configuration by close of business Wednesday. The DF-224 co-processor's extended memory will be used for the first time to execute SPCs starting on Monday Aug. 22. /DMH -END-
