The observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies were noted. 1.9 Completed Six Sets of FOS/RD 5535 (Cycle 4 Internal Wavelength Calibration) The Faint Object Spectrograph was used to make internal calibration observations to monitor the stability of the wavelength scale for different gratings. During one set of observations at 289/1309Z an FOS speed check counter error was detected, however, no status buffer error message was received. No other anomalies were noted. 1.10 Completed Two Sets of FOS/BL 5759 (FOS-assisted GHRS Target Acquisition) The Faint object Spectrograph (Blue Side) was used to test a new procedure for acquiring targets with the FOS on the Blue Side, then slew to the GHRS LSA for observations. Standard target object AV207 and AV451 was used. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.11 Completed WF/PC-2 5584 (Parallel High Resolution Imaging of Diffuse Objects in the Magellanic Cloud) The WF/PC-2 was used to observe diffuse object SMC-N70. Of particular interest were H II regions, planetary nebulae, SNRs, supershells, and proto-stellar and maser regions. The observation completed normally with no report of any errors. 1.12 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5366 (The Chronology of the Galactic Halo and Disk) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of galactic globular clusters NGC-6541-PO and NGC-6624-PO. The images were reported to look nominal. 1.13 Completed FOS/BL 5658 (White Dwarf Calibration) The Faint Object Spectrograph (Blue Side) was used to make absolute sensitivity calibrations of the detectors using standard white dwarf star GD71. The observations were executed as planned, and no anomalies were noted. 1.14 Completed WF/PC-2 5092 (Low Latitude Parallel Program) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations taken in parallel with the prime science observations. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.15 Completed FGS 5510 (Mass Ratio Determination for Doubles with Substellar Mass Members) The Fine Guidance Sensors were used to make astrometric observations of binary star L722-22-00. The astrometric observations were monitored, and no problems were seen. 1.16 Completed Two Sets of FGS 5334 (Linking HIPPARCOS to the Extra- Galactic Reference Frame) The Fine Guidance Sensors were used to to make astrometric observations of several stars (i.e., 0716+714IN and 0316+413IN) to help tie the HIPPARCOS and extragalactic reference frames together. The observations were completed as scheduled, and no anomalies were reported. 1.17 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5370 (HST Medium Deep Survey: Cycle 4 Medium Low Galactic Latitude - CR Split) The WF/PC-2 was used in parallel with the prime science observations to make high galactic latitude observations as part of a medium-deep sky survey.
