The observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies were noted. 1.2 Completed WF/PC-2 5629 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Photometric Calibration Monitor 1C: 4-Chip STD in F170W) The WF/PC-2 was used to make photometric calibration observations of the ultraviolet standard star GRW+70D582. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5655 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor. 2: Flats Part 2) The WF/PC-2 was used to make a visual flat calibration image. The observation wAS completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.4 Completed WF/PC-2 5505 (Deep Probes of Gravitational Lens Systems) The WF/PC-2 was used to make deep images of of the elliptical galaxy 0142-100 which is a member of the Coma Cluster. The intent is to improve our understanding of the stellar populations in ellipticals and to determine the distance to the Coma Cluster. The observations were completed and planned, and no problems were noted. 1.5 Completed WF/PC-2 5571 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Earthflats, Smaller Set) The WF/PC-2 was used to make several ultraviolet and narrow-band filter Earth flat calibration observations to correct for the telescope's illumination pattern. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.6 Completed FOS/RD 5664 (Quasar Absorption Line Survey: Cycle 4 High) The Faint Object Spectrograph (Red Side) was used to make spectrographic observations of quasi-stellar object PKS0232-04 to look for absorption lines due to gas in the intergalactic medium and galactic halos. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.7 Completed Four Sets of WF/PC-2 5562 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor 3: Darks) The WF/PC-2 was used to obtain several 30-minute long, dark exposures to provide ongoing calibration of the CCD dark current and to monitor and characterize the evolution of hot pixels. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.8 Completed WF/PC-2 5701 (Galaxy Populations in Intermediate Redshift Clusters: Cycle 4) The WF/PC-2 was used to observe fields in the Abell galactic cluster AC118 to study the morphology of the galaxies in the cluster so that they can be classified and used to learn more about the Butcher-Oemler effect. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.9 Completed FOS/RD 5456 (The BAL Region Covering Factor in QSOs with Weak Narrow-Line (O III) Emissions) The Faint Object Spectrograph (Red Side) was used to make spectrographic observations of the active galactic nuclei of nearby QSO Q1121+423 to study weak, narrow O III emissions and strong Fe II emissions in BAL regions. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.10 Completed WF/PC-2 5369 (HST Medium-Deep Survey: Cycle 4 Medium, High Galactic Latitude) The WF/PC-2 made a series of observations of high latitude objects as part of a medium deep sky survey. The observations were taken in parallel with other prime science observations. The observations were completed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.11 Completed WF/PC-2 5663 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4: Photometric Calibration Monitor: Fields Part 2) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of globular cluster NGC-6752 with various filters in order to check the photometric calibration of the WF/PC-2. The observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies were reported. 1.12 Completed WF/PC-2 5730 (Physical Conditions in the Narrow Lined Regions) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the narrow lined-regions of the active galactic nuclei of NGC-3393-AN to determine the relative positions of the nuclear targets and an offset star. The observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies were noted. 1.13 Completed WF/PC-2 5454 (Ellipticals with Kinamatically Distinct Cores: Cycle 4 Medium) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the small elliptical galaxy NGC-4406 which contains a massive core which is Kinematically distinct from the rest of the galaxy. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.14 Completed GHRS/2 5406 (The Nature of the Variable Infalling Material of the Star Beta Pictori) The High Resolution Spectrograph (Side Two) was used to make spectrographic observations to investigate the chemical composition and physical conditions of the disk around the star HD39060 (aka, Beta Pictori). A wavelength calibration image was also taken. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: Scheduled Acquisitions : 10 Successful : 10 Scheduled Reacquisitions : 7 Successful : 7 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled : 14 Successful : 14 2.3 Significant HSTARs: None 2.4 Operations Notes: No problems were reported. 3.0 ANOMALY STATUS: 3.1 Significant New Anomalies: None 3.2 Significant Unresolved Anomalies: None 4.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Nothing at this time. /DMH -END-
