The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.7 Completed WF/PC-2 5560 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor. 1) The WF/PC-2 was used to make several internal bias, K-Spot, and flat calibration observations to monitor the CCD camera electronics, the optical alignment, and to check for contamination. The observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies were noted. 1.8 Completed WF/PC-2 5571 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Earthflats, Smaller Set) The WF/PC-2 was used to make several ultraviolet and narrow-band filter Earth flat calibration observations to correct for the telescope's illumination pattern. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.9 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5655 (WF/PC-2 Cycle 4 Calibration: Internal Monitor. 2: Flats Part 2) The WF/PC-2 was used to make a visual flats calibration image. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.10 Completed Two Sets of FOC/96 5437 (UV Spectroimaging of Saturn and Search for Exogenous Water in the Atmosphere) The Faint Object Camera (f/96) was used to make ultraviolet images of the north and south hemisphere of the planet Saturn to look for upper atmosphere features due to water absorption. The observations were executed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.11 Completed WF/PC-2 5399 (Ultra-Deep HST Imaging fo the Hawaii Deep Survey Fields) The WF/PC-2 was used to make ultra-deep observations of object SSA22. These fields of view have already been imaged with ground based telescopes, and with the Faint Object Camera, to survey the galaxy populations. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.12 Completed FGS 5752 (Monitor the Long Term Stability of FGS #3: Revised) The FGS #3 will be used to make a large number of observations of stars located in open cluster M-35. (i.e., OF41-REF, OF77-REF, OF49-REF, OF23-REF, OF4-REF, OF10-REF, OF53-REF, ET AL.). This is a continuation of Proposal # 5118, looking for long term changes in the geometric distortion and plate scale. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.13 Completed WF/PC-2 5092 (GTO Low Latitude Parallel Program: Cycle 4) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations taken in parallel with the prime science observations. This is part of a survey to take pictures of a large number of fields within 30 degrees of the galactic plane. The observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.14 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 5446 (The Nuclei of Nearby S0 and Spiral Galaxies: A PC Snapshot Imaging) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the core region of galaxies IC342 and NGC-4245 to provide statistics on their nuclear cups, stellar condensations, and inner stellar disks and dust lanes. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.15 Completed WF/PC-2 5454 (Ellipticals with Kinematically Distinct Cores: Cycle 4 Medium) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the small elliptical galaxy NGC-5322 which contains a massive core which is kinematically distinct from the rest of the galaxy. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.16 Completed WF/PC-2 1070 (High Resolution Imaging of Radio Galaxies at Large Redshift) The WF/PC-2 was used to make deep images of radio galaxy 3C252 to study the evolution of its stellar population and to look for star formation. There was a baseline guide star acquisition failure at 331/0009Z. The acquisition failed to obtain fine lock, and the observation was completed in single star course track using FGS #1. 1.17 Completed FOS/BL 5444 (A UV Spectral Library of Metal- Poor Massive Stars) The FOS (Blue Side) was used for a snapshot program to obtain ultraviolet spectra of BI272, a metal-poor star in the LMC. It will be useful for stellar atmosphere and stellar evolution studies. The observations completed without incident. 1.18 Completed FOS/BL 5682 (UV Spectra of Low-Redshift QSOs Augmentation: Cycle 4, Carry-over) The Faint Object Spectrograph (Blue Side) was used to make ultraviolet spectrographic observations of low redshift QSO PG0026+12. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.19 Completed WF/PC-2 5091 (GTO High Latitude Parallel Program: Cycle 4) The WF/PC-2 was used in parallel with the prime science observations to make high galactic latitude observations greater than +/-30 degrees. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no problems were reported. 1.20 Completed WF/PC-2 5369 (HST Medium-Deep Survey: Cycle 4 Medium, High Galactic Latitude) The WF/PC-2 made a series of observations of high latitude objects as part of a medium deep sky survey.
