1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

   1.1 Completed FOS/BL 6146 (FOS Location of Spectra and Aperture - Part 2)

     The Faint Object Spectrograph (Blue Side) was used to conduct a test to
determine the repeatability of positioning the filter-grating wheel.  All
observations were internal. A wave length calibration image and a Taled
calibration observation were also taken.  All observations were executed as
scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

   1.2 Completed WF/PC-2 6228 (Young Globular Clusters in Interacting and
Cooling Flow Galaxies)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of galaxy cluster Abell-2029
looking for young globular clusters.  Very deep exposures were made of the
target to attempt to distinguish between its two possible formation
histories.  The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies
were reported.

   1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 5463 (Buried QSOs in IRAS-Selected Ultra luminous
AGNs)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the luminous  IRAS active
galactic nuclei of galaxy IRAS2306+0 to try to resolve the polarized
scattering regions in its core.  The observations were completed as planned,
and no anomalies were reported.

   1.4 Completed GHRS/2 5837 (Ultraviolet Imaging and Spectroscopy of the Icy
Galilean Satellites)

       The GHRS/2 was used to make ultraviolet observations of Jupiter's moon
Europa to study the albedo features caused by SO2
absorption.  These observations will be coordinated with the IUE spacecraft
and other ground based observations.  The observations were completed as
planned, and no anomalies were reported.

   1.5 Completed WF/PC-2 6058 (Direct Imaging of a Circumstellar Disk: Beta
Pictoris)

       The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the circumstellar disk on
the star Beta Pictoris (aka, HD39060) in order to study the brightness
profile of the disk.  The observations were completed as scheduled, and no
anomalies were noted.
