Scheduled Reacquisitions : 2 Successful : 0 2.2 FHST Updates: Scheduled : 9 Successful : 0 2.3 Operations Notes: A test was conducted on Saturday, 307/19:02 GMT to power on = reaction wheel (RWA) #1 and determine its status. The test consisted of = open loop torque commanding to the RWA in each direction. The reaction = wheel responded properly to both torque commands. The test was repeated = successfully. A third macro was executed at 22:17 which reversed the = order of the torque commands. The RWA responded properly to this = sequence as well. At 23:25, RWA 1 was brought back into the control = system as part of the normal four RWA configuration. Science (SMS SA309G00) was resumed at 309/00:00 GMT. Because the = science SMS was generated assuming a three RWA configuration, the flight = software maneuver sizing parameters were configured for a three wheel = system to be consistent with the SMS. Unfortunately, these three RWA = sizing parameters, which were developed before launch, are in error and = resulted in slew undersizing by approximately 1-2%. The plan to resolve = this problem is to command HST to inertial hold safemode this morning, = uplink the four RWA sizing parameters, and generate a science SMS which = uses four RWAs. At 309/06:40 the NSSC-I issued an error message during GHRS = transition from low to high voltage. The error indicates an attempt to = execute an RTCS while another is executing. Real-time commanding was = done to halt the offending RTCSs and at 13:30 the GHRS successfully = transitioned to high voltage. The problem is under investigation. 3.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: The JIS#6 (EVA#3) Simulation is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. = 05, 1996) from 10am until 830pm. /DMH
