1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

   The following scheduled proposals did not execute due to the on-going =
safemode event:

   The HST science observations resumed on Wednesday, November 06, 1996, =
at 311/1923Z.

   1.1 Completed GHRS/1/FOS/RD 6784 (Ultraviolet Spectrum Templates from =
Metal-Rich Open Cluster NGC-6791)

       Both the High Resolution Spectrograph (Side One) and the Faint =
Object Spectrograph (Red Side) were used to make ultraviolet =
spectrographic template observations of the metal -rich, open cluster =
NGC-6791.  This open cluster is a potential Rosetta Stone for decoding =
the properties of metal-rich stars.  During this proposal, the loss of =
lock described in 2.1 occurred.  Otherwise, the observations were =
completed as planned with no further problems being reported.

                                        Successful : 9

       A loss of lock occurred at 311/222835Z and continued until the end =
of the acquisition at 311/225825Z.  The events surrounding this event are =
described in HSTAR 5790.

                             Successful : 5

   2.3 Operations Notes: 

       Normal science observations, begun again at approximately =
311/1923Z, are continuing.
