A dark calibration image was also taken. = The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. = 1.2 Completed Three Sets of WF/PC-2 7019 (WF/PC-2 SMOV Flat Field = Check) The WF/PC-2 was used to obtain a sequences of Earth streak and = internal flats to check for changes at the 1% level. The observations = were completed as scheduled, and no problems were reported 1.3 Completed WF/PC-2 6344 (Low - Mass Binaries in the Hyades - = Completing the Survey) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the low mass binary = star RHY242 (M-Class dwarf stars) which is located in the Hyades Cluster. = The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were = noted. 1.4 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 6419 (Testing Unified Models With a = Complete Sample of Seyfert Galaxies) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the Seyfert galaxies = ESO137-G34 and NGC-5273 to help build a complete survey of the Seyfert = class of galaxies. This will help test the current model for Seyfert = class galaxies. This model proposes that all Seyferts have Seyfert-1 = nucleus, which is surrounded by a torus of gas and dust. The = observations were completed as planned and no anomalies were noted. 1.5 Completed WF/PC-2 6359 (Core Properties of the Bulges of Spiral = Galaxies) The WF/PC-2 was used to make snapshot survey observations of = spiral galaxy NGC-6810 in order to study its central bulges. The aim is = to investigate the core properties, correlations with global galactic = properties, and the frequency of occurrence of multiple and/or = miscentered nuclei. The observations were completed as scheduled, and no = anomalies were noted. 1.6 Completed STIS/CCD 7063 (STIS SMOV CCD Contamination Monitor) The Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph CCD was used to make = observations of standard star GD153 in order to measure flux and look = for any gross changes over time that might indicate contamination. A = wavelength calibration image was also taken. The observations were = completed as scheduled, and no anomalies were reported. 1.7 Completed Four Sets of WF/PC-2 6361 (High Resolution Imaging of = X-Ray Selected AGNs) The WF/PC-2 was used to make high resolution observations of the = known, low, red-shifted, x-ray active galactic nuclei (AGN) MS1158.6-0, = MS1242.2+1, 1456.4+2, MS1426.5+0 and MS2039.5-0. These data will allow a = study of the optical properties of an unbiased sample of AGN host = galaxies. The observations were completed as scheduled, and no problems = were reported. 1.8 Completed WF/PC-2 6633 (Cusps or Cores in Barred Bulges?) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the SB class (Barred) = galaxy NGC-6684 in order to study its nuclear bulge region and cusps. = This is a highly tri-axial, tumbling, low-mass stellar system. The = observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported. 1.9 Completed WF/PC-2 6491 (The Optical Structure and Environments of = Z~1 3CR Quasars) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of radio galaxy/quasar = 3C287 in order to study its optical stricture and environments. This = should obtain better statistics on correlations seen in the Cycle 4 data, = such as the association of linear galaxies with other 3CR galaxies and = quasars. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies = were noted. 1.10 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 6887 (A Photometric Search for = Faint Companions to Nearby Stars) The WF/PC-2 was used to make photometric search observations of = the nearby stars Proxima-Cen and WOLF359 in order to look for possible = companions. The technique involves use of the planetary camera with wide = band pass filters to photometrically measure for the presence of resolved = dark companions. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no = anomalies were noted. 1.11 Completed STIS/CCD 7121 (Imaging Spectroscopy of NGC-4151) The Space Telescope Infrared Spectrograph CCD was used to make = observations of NGC-4151 which is the brightest Seyfert 1 galaxy and thus = a perfect target to demonstrate the imaging spectroscopy capabilities of = STIS. A wavelength calibration image was also taken. The observations = were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. Wave 1.12 Completed WF/PC-2 6677 (The Origin of the X-Ray Background: What = are the Faintest X-Ray Galaxies?) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the galaxy GAL-133409 = which is from the deepest optically identified (ROSAT) X-ray survey yet. = These images were taken to determine the morphologies of the remaining = systems which we cannot study from the ground in order to determine = whether the remaining non-QSO XRB might be explained by emission from = interacting or disturbed spirals. The observations were completed as = planned, and no anomalies were reported. 1.13 Completed FOC/96 7012 (FOC/96 Baseline Throughput) The Faint Object Camera (f/96) was used to measure the absolute = sensitivity without in the COSTAR beam. Observations were made using = standard star GRW+70D582. This was done to provide an estimate of the = degradation of the FOC sensitivity over the three years since the first = servicing mission, when an identical set of measurements were taken. The = observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted. 1.14 Completed Four Sets of WF/PC-2 6741 (Synoptic Monitoring of = Seasonal Phenomena on Mars) The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the planet Mars as = part of a program of synoptic monitoring of the planet's seasonal = phenomena. This is an especially important period because Mars = Pathfinder and Mars Global Surveyor will be in cruise phase during this = time. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were = reported. 1.15 Completed Two Sets of WF/PC-2 6363 (The Environments and Host = Galaxies of BL-Lac Objects) The WF/PC-2 was used to make snapshot survey observations of = BL-Lac object 1ES0715-25 in order to study its environment and its host = galaxies.
