HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE DAILY REPORT #2513 PERIOD COVERED: 0000Z (UTC) 12/03/99 - 0000Z (UTC) 12/6/99 Daily Status Report as of 340/0000Z 1.0 OBSERVATIONS SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED: Since HST remains in Zero Gyro Sun Point (ZGSP), no science observations were performed. 2.0 FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUMMARY: 2.1 Guide Star Acquisitions: No activity 2.2 FHST Updates: No activity 2.3 Operations Notes: The HST is still in ZGSP. Operations Note #661 was used three times over the weekend to re-set the time-based re-charge ratio charge/discharge buffers. The On-Orbit Test of the PSEA/RMGA/HWSP, which was run on the CCS "B" string, was begun at approximately 337/1230Z. There were 30 iterations of the PSEA test mode prior to entry into PSEA control. PSEA entry proceeded nominally. The HST was commanded to HWSP at 337/1452Z. Acquisition of signal was delayed for about five minutes until a second set of MA transmitter commands could be issued. When the temperature on RWA #2 exceeded the high limit, the transition back to ZGSP began at 337/1715Z. Since the transition was performed at night, RWA #2 cooled down and the ZGSP capture was nominal. The test was successfully concluded at 337/1802Z. Operations returned to the CCS "A string at 337/2240Z. The NSSC-1 was recovered and the WF/PC-2 Heat Pipe Heater was turned on at 337/1845Z. 3.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Servicing Mission 3A, currently scheduled for December 11, 1999. /CAW
