Yesterday's scheduled shuttle launch was delayed for one day. Using ROP DF-1, a full DF-224 dump was performed at 350/0809Z. Per Operations Note #661, the time-based recharge ratio charge/discharge buffer was reset at 350/1520Z. While in ZGSP, the HST failed to capture the sun during a day pass that began at 350/1758Z. The RWA wheels speeds exceeded 3000 rpms with no momentum management (by design) in night. The HST failed to reach trickle charge in that day pass and the subsequent day pass. Accordingly, the rate of charge test failed at 350/2039Z. The NSSC-1 was powered off, as were the WF/PC-2 heat pipe heaters. HSTAR 7410 was written. During the above event, at 350/1925Z, the FGEs were turned off for load shedding. Later, the FGEs were turned back on at 250/2337Z. The SI C&DH error flags were reset at 350/2337Z. The rate of charge test was re-enabled at 350/2345Z. The telemetered WF/PC-2 temperatures were changed and additional monitoring was initiated at 350/2350Z. 3.0 SIGNIFICANT FORTHCOMING EVENTS: Servicing Mission 3A is now scheduled for a launch on December 17.
