Hubble Space Telescope Cycle 9 Call for Proposals Release Date: June 10, 1999 Proposal Deadline: September 10, 1999 NASA and The Space Telescope Science Institute are pleased to announce the Ninth Call for Proposals for astronomical observations and archival research utilizing the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). Participation in this program is open to all categories of organizations, both domestic and foreign, including educational institutions, profit and nonprofit organizations, NASA Centers, and other Government agencies. This solicitation will be open from June 10, 1999 through September 10, 1999 8:00pm EDT, and proposals may be submitted throughout this period. Starting June 10, 1999, specific guidelines for proposal preparation will be available electronically from the Space Telescope Science Institute's World-Wide Web site at the URL: http://www.stsci.edu/ftp/proposer/cycle9/announce.html All programmatic and/or technical information is available at the web site or you can contact the STScI Help Desk, email help@stsci.edu, phone 410-338-1082. The submission of proposals for this Cycle is entirely electronic. The Scientific Instruments offered are the Fine Guidance Sensor, the Wide Field Planetary Camera 2, and the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph. Results of the selection will be announced in mid to late December 1999.
