Hubble Space Telescope DrizzlePac Replaces Multidrizzle
AstroDrizzle is new software for aligning and combining HST images. It is a major revision of the older, widely used MultiDrizzle with improved handling of astrometric data. AstroDrizzle was officially released in June 2012 as part of the new STSDAS package DrizzlePac, a suite of tasks that replaces the STSDAS Dither package. Drizzlepac and AstroDrizzle bring an array of new features and algorithmic improvements, including the resolution of several known bugs in the current MultiDrizzle software. While MultiDrizzle is still available for use as part of the Dither package, it is no longer 'supported' software, meaning that no further development will occur.
