FOC F/96 November 1992 PSFsThe PSFs in this directory are in general very high S/N, i.e. several 1000's of counts in the peak, obtained in Nov 1992. To achieve these high S/N levels, the exposures were taken in the 256x256 format which allows much higher peak count-rates to be used. The price we have to pay for the high S/N is that some slight truncation of the PSFs occurs at radii > 2.5-3", how- ever I think most people will agree that this price is reasonable. The Complete History File, created Dec-1992, contains specific information about the images used to create the PSFs along with S/N data. The following PSFS are available in FITS format:
