INSTRUMENT SCIENCE REPORT FOC-051 August 30, 1991 "Suggested Changes to the RSDP Pipeline for FOC Data" By: P. Greenfield Abstract excerpted from the report: The RSDP pipeline currently has deficiencies with regard to how exposures are flat fielded. This report outlines the problems with the current order of processing which has flat fielding done before geometric correction, and recommends that the order of the processing steps be reversed. Data are presented showing the size of the effects on the calibration of FOC data. Recommendations are also made for changes to the pipeline to make useful the data quality mask produced for every exposure, which currently contains no useful information.
