GHRS Instrument Science Report 061 "Flux Correction Factors for Pre-COSTAR Observations of Extended Sources with the GHRS" James H. Scott and David R. Soderblom Abstract excerpted from the report: The GHRS most frequently observes point sources, and the calibrated fluxes delivered by PODPS assume such. However, for extended objects the flux per unit area of sky is desired, and it is necessary to know what fraction of light the GHRS' Large Science Aperture transmits. This report provides that fraction for several different telescope focus positions.
