Coronography Example
Below is the APT formated listing in pdf form of a NICMOS
coronagraphic proposing example. I have six visits. Visits 1 & 2 are for Mode 2
coronagraphic observations, 1/2 orbit visits scheduled in the same visibility
period with a roll between the visits.
Visits 3, 4, 5, and 6 are examples of bright target (H > 4) acquisition.
Visit 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 are scheduled in the same visibility period. Visits
3 & 4 are acquisitions, while visits 5 & 6 are for science. Each acquisition
visit obtains an image of the target, two flat fields, and two background
images that are sent to the ground for analysis.
The acquisition visits require exposure "Special Communication Requirement"
RT ANALYSIS. In addition, the acquisition image requires "Target Acquisition
Requirement" SAVE OFFSET
The science visits require the "Target Acquisition Requirement" USE OFFSET.
The acquisition data will arrive in OPUS where it will be calibrated, reduced,
positions of hole image and target measured, an offset determined, and uplinked
to the telescope.
