Snapshot Programs
Snapshot programs are used to fill gaps in the weekly schedule after all possible GO programs have been scheduled. These gaps are typically less than an orbit, and are frequently a result of South Atlantic Anomaly passages preventing longer visits from scheduling. Opportunities for SNAP scheduling are dependent on the characteristics of the prime GO science program allocated for the observing cycle. There is a User Information Report available (All About SNAPs) that provides additional information about Snapshots.
