CALSTIS V2.12 & V2.12A  Release Notes

Calstis Version 2.12A was installed in the OTFR pipeline on January 07, 2002.
It is not yet available for download, but will be in a future STSDAS release.

2.12  & 2.12A close the following OPRs:


OPR 44349:  STIS IDC table should select row on FILTER instead of OPT_ELEM

The image distortion coefficients table (IDCTAB) currently uses OPT_ELEM
as a row selection criterion.  For the FUV MAMA, this distinguishes between
clear and filtered aperture, which have different plate scales.  For the
NUV MAMA and the CCD, the plate scale also depends slightly on whether a
filtered aperture was used, but OPT_ELEM has the same value regardless of
the aperture.

OPR 44368:  Calstis2 should check for error when opening images

calstis2 (ocrreject) can give a segmentation violation when it is run on
an input file that has an invalid sequence of extensions forming the image
sets.  Such a file would not be encountered during pipeline processing, but
users can create such files using imcopy.

OPR 37009:  CALSTIS should check CCD voltages.

These keywords (OCBABAV, OCBCDAV, OCBLGCDV, OCBSWALV, OCBRCDLV) will be
copied to the SCI extension headers, rather than to the primary header,
so calstis should be modified to get them from the extension header.

OPR 44697: Calstis should apply temperature correction to dark subtraction

CALSTIS should be modified to handle a time-dependent correction to the
dark count rate when subtracting the reference dark rate frame during 
basic 2D processing.
