ISR 2010-01: Monitoring of the Wavelength Calibration Lamps for the Hubble Space Telescope

We present a detailed analysis of the changes in flux of the COS and STIS internal wavelength calibration lamps. The STIS lamps have faded much more than predicted from accelerated aging tests in the laboratory. The COS lamp output is declining with usage at the same rate as the STIS lamps.

ISR 2007-04: wx2d: A PyRAF Routine to Resample Spectral Images

The HST spread function is undersampled in the cross-dispersion direction in spectral images made with the STIS detectors. The PyRAF script wx2d uses a different interpolation procedure from x2d, reducing the spectral artifacts due to undersampling near the peak flux row of a point source in the rectified image.
