Time Dependent Sensitivity Corrections for CCD First-Order
Spectroscopic Modes

Reference files have now been delivered that allow CALSTIS
to correct CCD first-order spectra for the degradation of
the throughput of the STIS optics over time. At the shortest 
wavelengths covered by the G230LB, these corrections can 
amount to nearly 2% per year.


Incorrect PDF version of STIS Instrument Handbook published

An incorrect PDF version of the STIS Instrument Handbook was
released on 2003-Oct-6. One of the most important sections 
for HST proposers, Chapter 2 - "Special Considerations for 
Cycle 13," was among the sections not fully updated in the 
PDF document. If you downloaded the PDF version between Oct.
6th and Nov. 18th, you should re-download the 
correct version now.
