This and previous issues of the STAN can be found at http://www.stsci.edu/hst/stis/documents/newsletters. +----------------------------------------------------------+ CALSTIS v2.20 now available in STSDAS and in use with OTFR A new version of the CALSTIS software (v2.20) was included as part of STSDAS v3.5 released on 2006-Mar-27. It was also installed into the HST OTFR pipeline as part of the OPUS 2006.3 build released on 2006-Apr-10. CALSTIS 2.20 includes an improved algorithm for correcting 1D spectral extractions for the effects of charge transfer inefficiency (CTI). For the best flux calibration of STIS CCD spectra, this version of the code should be used together with the latest versions of the CCDTAB and TDSTAB reference files, obtained from the archive on or after mid-day 2006-Apr-10. This new version of CALSTIS also revises the interpolation of the error array used for 2D-rectified images (sx2 and x2d files).
