STIS Reference File History

Reasons for reference file changes are documented in a reference file narrative history. Please note that files retrieved through the HST archive have gone through On-The-Fly- Reprocessing and already use the best reference files available at that time.

Complete lists of filenames and dates for each type of reference file may be accessed via the following tables. If you need to request individual or multiple files from the WEB HST Archive site use the first nine characters of the file name followed by an asterisk. If you want to retrieve one file only, select the file from the tables below. In order to retrieve reference files from the MAST archive web site, you have to overide the retrieval options. This is, once in the "Retrieval Options" window, you have to override the defaults by entering the extension(s) of the file(s) requested. For example, if you are retrieving a bias reference file (with extension bia), enter "bia" in the box "or enter a specific extension:" and then submit your request.
