CALWF3 v2.6 Release Notes

CALWF3 v2.6 was released for internal use at STScI on December 16, 2011, and was installed in the OPUS operational environment on January 11, 2012.

PR 69969 CALWF3 wf3rej doesn't properly handle input data in count rates

The wf3rej module, which is used to combine CR-SPLIT and REPEAT-OBS sets of exposures, assumed that all input data are in units of counts (DN's or electrons). WFC3/IR data, however, are often in units of rates (DN/sec or electrons/sec), which was leading to incorrect sky calculations and cosmic-ray detection in wf3rej. Wf3rej has been upgraded to check the value of the BUNIT keyword for all input images and to rescale when necessary so that all data are operated on internally in units of counts.
