This document contains a listing of all full-mode WFPC reference files, grouped by type, that are presently available in the Calibration Data Base (CDB) System. These tables are intended to inform observers as to the quality of the calibration applied to their data by the PODPS pipeline processing and to provide an aid in selecting appropriate reference files for the re-calibration of WFPC observations. These datafiles may be requested by name from the STScI in the same fashion as any other non-proprietary data products.
Each reference file has listed along with it the date of its installation into the CDB system, the camera used and where necessary, the shutter, filter numbers, clock, and/or filternames are given as well. The dataname in the table is the rootname of the reference file; the file extensions follow the convention outlined in the STSDAS Calibration Guide, Chapter 7:

The source of each reference file is specified in the "S" column: either place holder (P), ground test data (G), or in-flight (I). Place holder files have no effect during calibration, i.e., biases are all zeros, flats are all ones, and a-to-d files are simple ramps. The ground test data were obtained during the Thermal Vac tests performed on the instrument prior to launch, while the in-flight reference files are those obtained on-orbit. For the flatfields, an additional column, labeled EC, indicates the number of earth-calibs (observations of the bright Earth) used to create each flatfield. Finally, any other pertinent comments concerning a particular reference file are delegated to the last column. In the event of more than one appropriate flatfield for a given camera/filter combination, the comment field includes a rough comparison of the flat to previous flats.
A further note about flatfields: a number of flats are made from on-orbit observations taken in conjunction with a neutral density filter (F8ND or F122M). This usually was necessary for those filters where the bright earth often saturated the CCDs at the shortest possible exposure times. In addition, there are several cases where seperate flats were made from sets of exposures with and without the neutral density filter. While the preferred flat has been used in the pipeline, the basis for this preference is not particularly strong. The observer may want to re-calibrate their data with the alternate flat(s). Note, however, that the flatfields done in conjunction with F8ND or F122M have NOT had the signature of the neutral density filter removed and that there may be significant residual gradients (5-20%) across the field of view (see OV/SV Report, Faber et al., Chapter 6) due to the neutral density filter.
Super skyflats and other reference files from the Medium-Deep Sky Survey team have been installed in CDB; they are flagged as "MDS" in the tables below and may be retrieved in the same manner as other reference files. Please see the MDS memo on STEIS for more detailed information on these files. In addition, note that the Lick MDS group has delivered flatfield correction files for F555W and F785LP (e2a1258lw and e2a1258ow, respectively) which have been archived into CDB as deltaflats (archive class CDB; extensions r8h/r8d). Please see the Lick Correction Flats memo on STEIS for more information on those files.

RE: Cycle 3 flats. Comment field contains exposure times of Earthflats used to generate the flatfield.
Note 1: These flats have ~5% artifacts in the form of narrow streaks. There are typically half a dozen or so 50-pixel-long streaks per CCD. These are useful for test purposes, and may be suitable for flat fielding if target falls away from streaks. This results from having only a small number of input Earthcals which are at nearly the same streak angle.
Note 2: Contains image which pre-dates the August 1993 decontamination.
