Recommended Travel Routes

There are a number of travel options for you to select from to reach the conference; we recommend the following routes to expedite your arrival:

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)

Use the airport shuttle bus (available from the shuttle bus stops located outside the baggage claim area) to the BWI Amtrak station and take Amtrak or MARC commuter rail (weekdays only) to Baltimore Penn Station.
Take a taxi from Baltimore Penn Station to the conference hotel (approx. 0.5 miles/0.8km).
Alternately, use a taxi (approx. $40USD plus tip) or make arrangements with the SuperShuttle (approx. $13USD) to take you directly to the conference hotel.
MTA Light Rail may also be used (see below).

From Dulles International Airport

Take the Washington Flyer coach from Dulles to the West Falls Church station of the DC Metro.
Take the Orange line of the DC Metro to the Metro Center station. Change to the Red line and go to Union Station.
Take Amtrak or MARC commuter rail (weekdays only) from Union Station to Baltimore Penn Station.
Take a taxi from Baltimore Penn Station to the conference hotel (approx. 0.5 miles/0.8km).

From Ronald Reagan National Airport

Take the Yellow line of the DC Metro to the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Change to the Red line and go to Union Station.
Take Amtrak or MARC commuter rail (weekdays only) from Union Station to Baltimore Penn Station.
Take a taxi from Baltimore Penn Station to the conference hotel (approx. 0.5 miles/0.8km).

From Philadelphia/New York/Boston

Take Amtrak to Baltimore Penn Station.
Take a taxi from Baltimore Penn Station to the conference hotel (approx. 0.5 miles/0.8km).

Light Rail Service from BWI to Baltimore

Light rail service is available from BWI to the downtown Baltimore area. The light rail stop is located at the far end of the international terminal at BWI. Light rail tickets are $1.60 and may be purchased from a machine on the light rail platform (cash only). Travel time to downtown Baltimore on light rail is approximately 45 minutes; stops closest to the hotel are Lexington Market or University Center/Baltimore Street.

The MTA No. 8 bus can be caught on Baltimore St. (head south from Lexington Market stop, north from Univ. Center/Baltimore St. stop) and taken to St. Paul St. (approximately 3 blocks south of hotel).

Please Note: Taxi service is not available from the light rail stops, approximately 0.5 miles (0.8km) to the hotel. Please consult the light rail schedule for the service availability on the day of your arrival. Walking from the light rail to the hotel after dark is strongly discouraged.
