The conference schedule included talks by each of the invited speakers with extended time for discussion, as well as a limited number of contributed talks. Poster presenters were given the opportunity to highlight their posters in a short talk. A dedicated session was also included to allow the JWST science instrument PIs to discuss the science enabled by their respective instruments, and to provide a status update.

The meeting also included a number of special events.
- On the evening of Monday June 6th, Nobel Laureate Dr. John Mather gave a special evening public talk called "The History of the Universe, Life, and Everything: What the James Webb Space Telescope will Tell us". This talk was coupled with the very popular STScI public lecture series that took place in the STScI auditorium at 8:00 pm.
- On the evening of Tuesday June 7th, STScI and Northrop Grumman hosted a very special banquet dinner for the meeting at the fantastic Maryland Science Center in the inner harbor of Baltimore. The banquet was a family and kids friendly event, and included an opening reception, the banquet dinner, and a showing of the recent Hubble 3D IMAX movie. Participants had access to the Science Center's main floor exhibits.
- During the lunch break on Wednesday June 8th, STScI hosted a special "Science Writers Workshop" in connection with the meeting.
