2011 May Symposium: Dark Matter

May 2-5, 2011
Space Telescope Science Institute
Baltimore, Maryland

The 2011 May Symposium took place May 2-5, 2011 at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. The topic of the symposium was "Dark Matter", and covered a wide range of topics in the areas of both astrophysics and particle physics. There were invited reviews on experiments designed for direct and indirect detection of Dark Matter (e.g. DAMA, XENON 100, LHC, FERMI, AMS), on astronomical observations of dark matter (e.g. strong and weak lensing, the Cosmic Microwave Background, galaxy halos, clusters of galaxies, Baryon Acoustic Oscillations, Big Bang Nucleosynthesis), and on alternative theories of gravity (e.g. TeVeS, Bimetric MOND Gravity).
