Information for Educators

Upcoming Events:

The Youth and Astronomy program at the Space Telescope Science Institute, operated by NASA, is now inviting classes to hear extraordinary scientists and engineers give talks about various facets of astronomy and engineering.

They will also have a chance to observe the stars and planets through the Morris W. Offit Telescope, an f/8 Cassegrain telescope, which is the major observing instrument in the Maryland Space Grant Observatory. The telescope has as its major optical element a 20"-diameter (that is, half- meter diameter) parabolic mirror. Students will also have an opportunity to tour the Johns Hopkins University Campus getting a glimpse of what college life is like.

We are located in Baltimore city on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus. Our address is:

3700 San Martin Drive
Baltimore, MD
21218

If you are interested in having your class come up on one of these dates, please register to reserve a day and time slot. Class registrations book quickly so please make reservations as soon as possible. There is no charge for attendance.
