The IT Project Scientist's Corner
The IT Project scientist is responsible to interface with science staff and facilitate IT support of science users. You may find a miscellanea of information here, including: the Project Scientist's presentations at science staff meetings, conference notes and the strategic plan for science computing.
Research Computing Forum
The Research Computing Forum (RCF) is focus for interaction between STScI research staff and the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) regarding technology and computing developments. The activities of the RCF are primarily focused on research computing challenges and requirements, but may also tackle issues that have both a research and functional component. The primary purposes of the RCF are to provide a mechanism for prioritizing and solving problems that affect scientists in carrying out research at STScI and to assure direct and effective communications between the research staff and ITSD.Visit the RCF wiki for more information.
Graphics Processing Units (GPUs)

Storage
Science users may purchase space on central storage to store their science data. As of December 1st, 2011, cost is $500/TB, with 17.01% G&A/F&A. For more information please click here.
