Dave is an SMS Supervisor; he also serves as the SMSB Webmaster and is the Lead of the Long Range Planning Group. He got his BA in Astrophysics from Boston University in 1982, and his Masters (1985) and PhD (1989) in Astronomy from the University of Virginia. He started with CSC at the Institute in 1996; prior positions include a postdoctoral appointment with the BIMA group at the University of Illinois and AIPS manager at the NRAO's Very Large Array in Socorro New Mexico. His research interests focus on star formation and the interstellar medium in the Milky Way and nearby spiral galaxies.

Gary is an SMS Supervisor. He received a BS from the University of Oklahoma in 1986 and a PhD from the University of Michigan in 1992. Prior to starting at CSC in 2001, he held research positions at STScI, JHU, and NOAO working on observations with HST and ground-based telescopes on galaxy centers.

Don currently serves as the software developer in SPST. He got his BA from the University of Texas in 1980 and an MA from Columbia University in 1982. He started with CSC at the Institute in the commanding group in 1986, and joined the short-term schedulers in 1997.

Bill is currently an SMS supervisor. He got his BS (1970) and MS (1974) from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He started with CSC as a telescope operator at IUE in 1978, and moved to the Institute in 1985 as a console operator. He moved to his current position in 1989. His professional interests include astronomical space observatory operations; real-time, transient, ephemeral astronomical phenomena; formation process of volumetric Lichtenberg Figures via electrostatic discharge caused by induced dielectric breakdown; and volumetric display devices.

Jack is an SMS supervisor. He got his undergaduate degree in Math and PhD in Astronomy (1967) at Case Western Reserve University. He came to SPST with CSC at the Institute in 1986. Previously, he was a research associate at the University of Michigan, and a staff member of the Venezuelan National Astronomy Center; he also held teaching appointments at Wesleyan University and Michigan State University. Jack's research interests include galactic structure, astrometry, and spectroscopy of cool stars.

Alan currently serves as an Operations Analyst in SPST. He got his BA (1970), MA (1974) and PhD (1975) from Cambridge University. He started at CSC as an SMS supervisor in 1992 and moved to his current position in 1998. His previous positions were as OSL (Orbiting Solar Laboratory) Scientist and Scientist in Charge at Big Bear Solar Observatory in California. His professional interests focus on solar astronomy.
