I am also currently working on the properties of dust in the Magellanic Clouds and how these properties change with local environment.

My research focuses on the heating and ionization of the interstellar and intergalactic media, with special emphasis on the physics of collisionless shocks. In this work I focus on the kinematics of supernova remnants (both non-radiative and radiative), the role of cosmic ray acceleration in shocks and the dynamical evolution of high velocity clouds. I am also interested in the dispersal of heavy elements by supernova explosions. The main tool of my research is spectroscopy (optical, ultraviolet and infrared).
