After You're Accepted

Arrival and departure dates: coordination

We expect students to spend a full ten weeks at STScI. We realize that academic schedules vary significantly, but in 2008 we will limit students to two starting dates: June 9 and June 23. This is being done so that students can fully participate in the experiences that we offer. If you are accepted you must agree on your starting date with your supervisor.

Travel to Baltimore

All of your travel to and from STScI must be coordinated through the Institute. You may not book your own travel. Ordinarily we will cover the cost of round-trip transportation to and from Baltimore.

Visas

Students from foreign countries will need a visa to work in the U.S. Once you are accepted our Human Resources Department will contact you and provide assistance.
