The current version of stsci_python is 2.13 (July 2012).
stsci_python depends on several other software packages (numbers in parentheses are the versions we tested with):
- Python (2.6, 2.7)
(STSCI_PYTHON does not work with python 3.0) - Tcl/Tk (8.4)
- IRAF (2.14)
- readline (5.2)
- STSDAS / TABLES (3.15)
- Numpy (1.6 - earlier versions will not work)
- Pmw (1.3)
- urwid (1.0.1) (optional)
- ipython (0.12) (optional)
- matplotlib (1.1.0) (optional)
The Windows executables require Python 2.7.
