stsci_python Download

The current version of stsci_python is 2.13 (July 2012).

stsci_python depends on several other software packages (numbers in parentheses are the versions we tested with):

The Windows executables require Python 2.7.

stsci_python-2.13.tar.gz source distribution
stsci_python-2.13.win32-py2.7.exe Stsci_python Windows executables for Python 2.7
image, ndimage, convolve These are now included in stsci_python, so there is no need to download or install them separately.
iraf.intel.leopard.dmg
(see gfortran note below)
STSCI Python, STSDAS, IRAF bundle for Intel Macintosh, running OSX 10.5 (Leopard) This is a Macintosh package. It will write over files in /usr/stsci.
iraf.intel.snow_leopard.dmg
(see gfortran note below)
STSCI Python, STSDAS, IRAF bundle for Intel Macintosh, running OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) This is a Macintosh package. It will write over files in /usr/stsci.
numdisplay-1.6.0.tar.gz The current version of Numdisplay as a stand-alone package. You can download this if you need numdisplay, but not the rest of stsci_python.
Download gfortran from research.att.com or r-project.org If you will use SCIPY, the Macintosh DMG files require GFORTRAN libraries. Download and install GFORTRAN to get those libraries, (even if you already have gfortran installed by Fink).

Older versions may be available directly from our download server.
