To do so, FGS1r is used to observe the guide stars as astrometry targets along with OFAD stars that also lie in the FGS FOV. In addition, the stars observed by WFC3 and STIS in the FGS-SI alignment program also fall within the FGS FOV; these stars will also be observed by FGS1r and subsequently placed in the milli-arcsecond OFAD catalog. These positions will be used to generate a 1 mas catalog that will replace the 40 mas UCAC4 catalog for measuring the FGS-SI alignments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observations Description ------------------------ In visit 01 FGS1r will be placed on the sky such that the "northern" guide star used in the FGS-SI alignment proposal, along with target stars observed by STIS and ACS/WFC in that proposal, will also fall within the FGS FOV. In addition, the FOV will include several stars from the 1 mas OFAD catalog. Similiarly, visit 02 will place the "southern" guide star, FGS-SI alignment stars, and OFAD stars in the FGS1r FOV. In each visit, the selected stars will be observed several times by FGS1r in POS mode to obtain 1 mas relative positions. The F583W element is used as this is suppported by the OFAD calibration.
