PyRAF v1.8.1 download

This is NOT the place to get STScI's full Python data analysis
software package (MultiDrizzle, PyDrizzle, SAAclean, etc., including PyRAF). Go to the
stsci_python download page instead.
This page is for those that want to download PYRAF ONLY. The current version of PyRAF is v1.8.1 (Oct 2009). The version of PyRAF bundled with stsci_python is v1.8.1 (Nov 2009). PyRAF depends on the following support software which can be downloaded from the stsci_python support software web page:
The current version of STSDAS is listed here. Note that the stable PyRAF release is not available for Microsoft Windows, since IRAF is not available on that platform. (But other subcomponents such as Multidrizzle are available for Windows.) The nightly repository version below however, does run on Windows without IRAF ...
The PyRAF v1.8 series supports Python 2.6. Versions 1.7.1 and older do not support Python 2.6. No version yet supports Python 3.x.
