software package (MultiDrizzle, PyDrizzle, SAAclean, etc., including PyRAF). Go to the
stsci_python download page instead.
This page is for those that want to download PYRAF ONLY.
The current version of PyRAF is v1.8.1 (Oct 2009).
The version of PyRAF bundled with stsci_python is v1.8.1 (Nov 2009).

Note that the stable PyRAF release is not available for Microsoft Windows, since IRAF is not available on that platform. (But other subcomponents such as Multidrizzle are available for Windows.)
The nightly repository version below however, does run on Windows without IRAF ...
The PyRAF v1.8 series supports Python 2.6.
Versions 1.7.1 and older do not support Python 2.6. No version yet supports Python 3.x.
