stsci_python v2.6 download

The current version of stsci_python is 2.6 (Feb 2008).

Users who wish to use the tasks in stsci_python v2.6 with the PyRAF/STSDAS/IRAF interface (e.g. MultiDrizzle, PyDrizzle) will need to download and install version 3.8 of STSDAS and TABLES. The STSDAS/TABLES download page is at http://www.stsci.edu/resources/software_hardware/stsdas/download.

stsci_python depends on the following support software which can be downloaded from the stsci_python support software web page:

• Tcl/Tk
• Readline
• Python
• libf2c
• Pmw
• urwid
• ipython

Support Software

Note that PyRAF is not available for Microsoft Windows since IRAF is not available on that platform. The Windows executables require Python 2.5.
