Readme file for the files containing the low Z ultraviolet spectra described in Leitherer et al. (ApJ, in press for the March 2001 issue) There are 66 tables. Each table has 4 columns with 860 lines and contains the synthetic ultraviolet spectrum from 1205 A to 1849 A as discussed in the paper. (The fluxes longward of 1601 A are placeholders with no useful information.) The first column gives the age in yr, column 2 is the wavelength in Angstrom, column 3 is the luminosity [erg/sec/Angstrom], and column 4 is the normalized spectrum. The filename uniquely identifies the starburst models. The nomenclature is low_x_k_j. x is i or c, indicating instantaneous (i) or continuous star formation (c). k is 235, 330, and 30, which stands for IMF exponent/upper mass cut-off combinations of 2.35/100, 3.30/100, and 2.35/30, respectively. j is the age in Myr. The timesteps are different for the instantaneous and continuous models. Example: low_c_330_20 contains the spectrum for continuous star formation at age 20 Myr, IMF exponent of 3.30, and M_up=100 M_sol.
